Em setembro de 2019, o Papa Francisco divulgou a carta apostólica ‘Aperuit illis’ (‘Abriu-lhes o entendimento’) onde anunciava a instituição de um “Domingo da Palavra de Deus”, celebração anual nas comunidades católicas que visa promover a “familiaridade” com a Bíblia.

Na Diocese do Algarve, o Domingo da Palavra de Deus vai ser assinalado numa Eucaristia onde vai ser instituído leitor o seminarista Samuel Camacho, às 16h00, na igreja paroquial das Ferreiras.
Assim falava, hoje, o Papa Francisco em Roma: “Galileia dos gentios: assim se chamava a região onde Jesus começou a pregar, porque estava habitada por pessoas muito diferentes entre si formando uma verdadeira amálgama de povos, línguas e culturas. De facto, era o caminho do mar, que constituía uma encruzilhada. Lá viviam pescadores, comerciantes e estrangeiros: não era de certeza o lugar onde se encontrava o povo eleito na sua pureza religiosa melhor. E, no entanto, Jesus começou de lá: não do átrio do templo de Jerusalém, mas do lado oposto do país, da Galileia dos gentios, dum local de fronteira. Começou duma periferia.”
Também a nossa paróquia, saiu à rua para celebrar o DOMINGO DA PALAVRA DE DEUS, foi pelas ruas da Vila da Mexilhoeira Grande, que cantamos, rezamos e anunciamos a Palavra de Deus. Não nos restringimos ao templo, à igreja, mas saímos para a rua, como povo, crianças, jovens, famílias, adultos e idosos… como povo, como igreja testemunhamos a nosso fé, pelas ruas e encruzilhadas!
De certo modo, fomos pelos caminhos, e como Igreja convidamos os que passavam ou os que paravam para observar a vir ver, a vir escutar, a vir conhecer a PALAVRA!
Foi sem duvida uma feliz iniciativa, a de sair pelas ruas, o parar e celebrar na rua, partilhar e dar a conhecer a fé que nos move e a PALAVRA que nos alimenta e ilumina.

Na Diocese de Angra vão promover uma exposição com exemplares da Bíblia do século XVIII e trabalhos de crianças e jovens da catequese sobre a Bíblia e a Palavra de Deus, a partir de sábado, 25 de janeiro, na Sala do Tesouro da Matriz da Horta.
“A palavra de Deus é o que nos une e o Papa ao definir este domingo está a pedir-nos para valorizarmos o que nos une”, disse o diretor do Serviço Diocesano de Liturgia, padre Marco Luciano Carvalho.

“Na Diocese de Aveiro as comunidades cristãs estão fortemente empenhadas em valorizar essa iniciativa convocada pelo Papa Francisco”, destaca o diretor do Secretariado Diocesano de Liturgia à Agência ECCLESIA.
Este domingo, as crianças em itinerário catequético vão receber a Bíblia e nas comunidades podem valorizar a Liturgia da Palavra com um acolhimento “mais expressivo” do Leccionário e do Evangeliário, que serão levados processionalmente depois da oração colecta.
“Algumas comunidades paroquiais aceitaram o desafio do SNEC e distribuirão nas Eucaristias a recente tradução dos Evangelhos e dos Salmos, iniciativa da Conferência Episcopal Portuguesa. Nalgumas igrejas prevê-se ainda um gesto mais expressivo de veneração do Evangeliário, como o beijo por parte daqueles que receberão a Bíblia”, desenvolveu o padre Nuno Duarte Queirós.
A oferta da nova edição d’Os Quatro Evangelhos e os Salmos é um gesto que se vai repetir no final da ordenação diaconal de Fábio Freches e de Nuno Gonçalves, presidida por D. António Moiteiro, em Paradela, Sever do Vouga.
O diretor do Secretariado de Liturgia adianta ainda que “fica o desejo” que se se promovam outras iniciativas formativas e celebrativas, bem como a partilha de outros recursos que possibilitem às comunidades da Diocese de Aveiro um aprofundamento e vivência deste Domingo, da Palavra de Deus no próximo ano pastoral.

Na Arquidiocese de Braga, a Paróquia de São José de São Lázaro promove no Sábado, dia 25 de Janeiro, a Festa da Palavra de Deus. As crianças do 4º ano da Catequese animam este tema às 17H00, continuando na Eucaristia das 17H30. [ver +]
Na paróquia de Ribeirão, diocese de Braga, celebramos, com a solenidade possível, o Domingo da Palavra de Deus. Preparamos um trono para o Evangeliário. Aí o colocamos após a Proclamação do Evangelho. Cantamos a introdução e usamos o incenso. Após a homilia fizemos a entrega dos Quatro Evangelhos e Salmos aos Leitores presentes em cada Missa e aos responsáveis dos grupos Semeadores de Esperança. No final das 4 Missas Dominicais, disponibilizamos, a quem quisesse adquirir, o volume Quatro Evangelhos e Salmos. Antes de cada momento da celebração a Equipa de Pastoral Litúrgica preparou introduções adequadas. Imprimimos a celebração da entronização da Bíblia em família que entregamos a quem quis à saída da igreja. No domingo, às 18h, orientamos, para quem quis aparecer, a lectio divina proposta para esse dia. Compareceram 30 pessoas.

Todo o ano pastoral na diocese de Bragança-Miranda é dedicado á Eucaristia e, por isso, todos os domingos são dias privilegiados para celebrar a Palavra de Deus.
Não haverá ações em concretos para assinalar o Domingo da Palavra de Deus, mas haverá uma valorização do evangeliário em todas as procissões e eucaristias e um forte investimento na formação litúrgica e nos leitores.

Celebração às 10h30 na igreja da Memória, considerada a Sé episcopal das Forças Armadas e de Segurança, presidida por D. Rui Valério e concelebrada por capelães militares.
A celebração vai contar com três momentos significativos, explicados por D. Rui Valério: Será feita a entronização da Palavra; haverá quatro pessoas a ser instituídos como leitores; será distribuído a todos os participantes na celebração eucarística uma edição do evangelho de São Lucas, edição do ano da Misericórdia, com a imagem de Cristo Bom Pastor, do padre Marko I. Rupnik, na capa, expressando uma ligação entre o Ano da Misericórdia e a instituição do Domingo da Palavra de Deus.
Na celebração eucaristia, será lembrado o comendador José Arruda, antigo Presidente da Direção Nacional da Associação dos Deficientes das Forças Armadas, falecido a 27 de janeiro de 2019, ele que foi “palavra viva” para “restituição da dignidade” de muitas pessoas.

Houve uma reflexão nos arciprestados com os sacerdotes sobre a indicação do Papa Francisco e, em comunhão com a proposta, foi sugerido que as paróquias pudessem celebrar neste domingo de forma mais cuidada, com especial destaque para o Evangeliário e para os ministros leitores.
Em algumas paróquias serão distribuídas Bíblias e foi sugerido que os cristãos pudessem levar as suas Bíblias particulares para serem benzidas.
Algumas comunidades vão ainda assinalar a festa da Palavra de Deus na catequese, nas celebrações dominicais.
Habitualmente o Domingo da Palavra de Deus estava a ser celebrado na diocese do Funchal no I Domingo da Quaresma.
O Bispo do Funchal celebrou a Missa de Sábado, 25 de janeiro, às 19h, na igreja paroquial de São Martinho, com a entronização da Bíblia.

Carta sobre o Domingo da Palavra de Deus
Como sublinha ainda o Papa Francisco, o dia dedicado à Bíblia pretende ser, não «uma vez no ano», mas é para ser vivido todo o ano, já que temos urgente necessidade de nos tornar familiares e íntimos da Sagrada Escritura e do Ressuscitado, que não cessa de partir a Palavra e o Pão na comunidade dos crentes. Para tal, “precisamos de entrar em confidência assídua com a Sagrada Escritura; caso contrário, o coração fica frio e os olhos permanecem fechados, atingidos, como somos, por inumeráveis formas de cegueira” (AI 8).

A Paróquia de Santo António de Nova Oeiras recebeu a notícia da instituição do Domingo da Palavra de Deus com muita alegria, no dia da sua publicação a 30 de Setembro de 2019.
Na altura, estando em fase de finalização o calendário com o Plano para o novo Ano Pastoral, a Carta do Papa Francisco foi acolhida com entusiasmo, sendo que que se começou desde logo a preparar o III Domingo do Tempo Comum do calendário litúrgico. Para o poder solenizar dignamente foram realizadas as seguintes iniciativas:
- Eucaristias celebradas com entrada em procissão com o Evangeliário e proclamação solene da Palavra de Deus;
- Festa de Entrega das Bíblias para as crianças da Catequese e Crismandos;
- Encontro de Perscrutação da Palavra de Deus com os Jovens.
Daqui em diante, temos a certeza e confiança de que este dia não será celebrado apenas uma vez por ano. Com efeito, no caso das Perscrutações, já existem encontros marcados uma vez por mês com todos os jovens que se queiram reunir em torno da Palavra de Deus como alimento para a nossa fé.
Efetivamente, tal como nos afirmou o Santo Padre: “temos urgente necessidade de nos tornar familiares e íntimos da Sagrada Escritura e do Ressuscitado, que não cessa de partir a Palavra e o Pão na comunidade dos crentes”.

Com a Carta Apostólica “Apperuit illis”, o Papa estabeleceu que, doravante, o III Domingo do Tempo Comum “seja dedicado à celebração, reflexão e divulgação da Palavra de Deus”. Mas deseja que este dia não seja “uma vez por ano, mas uma vez por todo o ano”, caso contrário, “o coração fica frio e os olhos permanecem fechados, atingidos, como somos, por inumeráveis formas de cegueira”.

Cada comunidade encontrará a melhor «forma de viver este Domingo como um dia solene» (Aperuit illis, 3). Francisco faz várias sugestões, como a de «entronizar o texto sagrado», «colocar em evidência a sua proclamação e adaptar a homilia» (Ibid.). Eis uma oportunidade para colocar de forma mais expressa no foco da nossa atenção uma das grandes aquisições do II Concílio do Vaticano: «A Igreja venerou sempre as divinas Escrituras como venera o próprio Corpo do Senhor, não deixando jamais, sobretudo na sagrada Liturgia, de tomar e distribuir aos fiéis o pão da vida, quer da mesa da palavra de Deus quer da do Corpo de Cristo» (Dei Verbum, 21).

O bispo de Santarém, D. José Traquina, escreveu uma carta que foi enviada aos sacerdotes para, em sintonia com as indicações do Papa Francisco, assinalar da melhor forma o domingo da Palavra de Deus.
As propostas deixadas dividem-se em quatro grandes grupos: a divulgação do dia, seja com cartazes bem como uso dos meios de comunicação; a celebração da eucaristia, desde o ambiente que possa ser criado ao destaque da Palavra de Deus; uma proposta de atividade de catequese, com foco em passagens bíblicas e, por fim, uma proposta de atividade paroquial, dividida em reflexão da Palavra, proposta de quadros bíblicos à comunidade e atividade formativa.
Ainda de destacar que na diocese neste domingo vai estar a ser distribuído o “Evangelho de São Mateus”, evangelista deste ano litúrgico, um “pequeno livro de bolso que pode estar sempre à mão”, publicação feita em parceria com o santuário de Fátima, como informou o gabinete de comunicação diocesana.

Viana do Castelo: Instituto Católico promove uma visita à Sinagoga de Belmonte
A Diocese de Viana do Castelo assinala o Domingo da Palavra com uma visita à Sinagoga de Belmonte, XXIV Semana de Estudos Teológicos e viagens de Estudo-Peregrinações à Terra Santa e pelos “Passos de São Paulo”
Para responder ao convite do Papa de celebrar o Dia da Bíblia no Domingo 26 de Janeiro, a Escola Superior de Teologia organiza uma visita à sinagoga de Belmonte e ao seu rabino Avraham Franco, como gesto de encontro e partilha com o povo do Antigo Testamento. A visita foi antecedida de uma aula sobre o judaísmo na quarta-feira 22 de Janeiro, às 19h45m, na sede do Instituto Católico, na Rua da Bandeira.
A sessão fez parte dos cursos de Introdução à Bíblia e de História das Religiões, mas a participação foi aberta a todos, com prévia inscrição.
Para além desta iniciativa, o Instituto Católico irá promover, de 27 a 30 de Abril de 2020, a XXIV Semana de Estudos Teológicos, subordinada as relações entre Ecologia e Cristianismo, com o sugestivo título “Heal the world…”.
Finalmente, a Escola de Teologia promove as Viagem de Estudo-Peregrinações à Terra Santa (“O Quinto Evangelho”) de 14 a 21 de Agosto, à Turquia (“Passos de São Paulo – 2ª parte”) de 02 a 09 de Agosto e ao Egipto (“O amanhecer do Antigo Testamento”) de 24 a 31 de Agosto. Nova tradução da Bíblia apresentada às paróquias
Iniciativa do Secretariado Nacional da Educação Cristã
O Secretariado Nacional da Educação Cristã (SNEC) lançou o desafio às paróquias de Portugal para conhecerem a nova tradução da Bíblia e adquirirem, a preço simbólico, o volume com os textos dos Quatro Evangelhos e os Salmos.
“O nosso objetivo é que as famílias, os catequistas, os jovens e os movimentos a adquiram, acreditando que a leitura dos Evangelhos e a recitação/oração dos Salmos fortalecem o sentido da presença de Deus nas nossas vidas e no serviço aos outros”, refere a mensagem enviada pelo diretor do SNEC, Fernando Moita.
Nesta campanha de apresentação e promoção do volume “Bíblia: os Quatro Evangelhos e os Salmos”, Secretariado Nacional da Educação Cristã está a distribuir cada exemplar por 3,5€ e em cada 20 exemplares envia mais 2 de oferta (sem custos de portes). As encomendas devem ser feitas para
